Welcoming Your New Pet

Bringing a new pet home is an exciting time, whether you've welcomed a new puppy or kitten, adopted a rescue, or brought home an older pet.

We recommend booking a new pet check with our team soon after your pet joins your family. This gives us an opportunity to get to know your pet, check their overall health and make sure they are up to date with the preventative care they need.

New Pet Health Checks

During your pet's first visit, one of our vets will perform a thorough health check and discuss their individual needs. We can also review their previous veterinary records and vaccination history, where available.

Depending on your pet's age, lifestyle and health, we can discuss:

• Vaccinations
• Flea and tick prevention
• Intestinal worming
• Heartworm prevention
• Desexing
• Dental care
• Any other health concerns you may have

For puppies and kittens, we'll also talk you through their vaccination and parasite prevention schedule and what to expect as they grow.

Rescue & Adopted Pets

A new pet check is just as important for rescue and adopted pets, regardless of their age. If you don't have access to your pet's previous veterinary history, that's okay. We can assess their current health and help you work out what preventative care they may need.
